The Youth at Birmingham First UMC, Birmingham, MI, decided one day over a planning lunch that they wanted to do something BIG for missions. So they've decided to raise one penny for every person afflicted with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Prepared with statistics regarding food and wealth distribution around the world [from Church World Service] our youth and counselors participated in a meal together that exposed the disproportionate availability of food to different groups around the world.
