I am really struggling.  I have been in youth ministries for 15 years as a volunteer.  Last year I took a part time job as an associate to the Program Director at our church and after just 6 months took on the job of Director of Youth & Young Adult ministries. 

My mother feels I should get a "real" job that makes more money.  And my husband just said that I care for the church and the youth at church more than my own family. 

I am at a loss.  I feel that the job offers my family a great deal of flexibility.  And while often time crazy with special events there are as equal times of down time in which I can volunteer in my kids classes.  Pick them up from preschool when my husband is working overtime.  Or just spend time together at the pool.

What does one do when the family isn't supportive of your work in ministry?
