The Youth Theological Initiative Summer Academy is July 7th through July 28th, 2007 YTI Summer Academy gathers fifty four rising high school seniors from across the country for a three- week ecumenical experience in Christian education. Students live together, study theology together with Seminary students and hear from Seminary Professors I invite you to nominate intellectually talented and theologically curious students to participate in this year’s academy. Please share the enclosed brochures with any your current High School juniors who might be interested.
YTI’s overall goal is fostering theological reflection among adolescents for the benefit of church and society. Our hope is to empower young people to grow into the critical theological thinkers that our society needs. Through the Summer Academy, we hope to encourage youth to become “public theologians”, bringing theology to the table and faith to action
Thank you for your time and commitment to the education of our youth. I hope you are able to share this incredible opportunity with some of your students.
