The Director of Youth ministries must give evidence to a strong personal
commitment to Jesus Christ.  3-5 years of youth ministry experience making
disciples of Jesus Christ among those in grades 6-12 required.  Bachelor's degree
required.  Responsible for setting the vision for youth ministry in our church and
community.  Must have a proven history of identifying, inviting and equipping
adult church members for youth ministry leadership.  Effective communications,
planning, organizational and administration skills required.  The selected
candidate will lead by word and example, through attentiveness to worship, study
of scripture, prayer, service generosity and witness. 
    
This position is full-time and requires the skills to work effectively as part of
a staff team.  Edenton Street UMC is a growing congregation located in the heart
of Raleigh, NC.  The church membership is 4100, and it has significant facilities
devoted to youth ministries and enthusiasm for growing its ministry with youth.
